How is dental prosthetics done at home?
Dental prosthetics at home always begins with a consultation, has many different options, the choice of which depends on the clinical situation.
Very often we receive calls from patients with a request to make a specific orthopedic construction (for example, to make a bridge). But after consultation and examination, it turns out that this design cannot be applied due to the condition of the patient's abutment teeth (mobility, severe destruction of the crown part of the tooth, insufficient number of abutment teeth). In such situations, an alternative treatment option is selected - partially removable prosthetics or dental implantation. Sometimes, before prosthetics, it is necessary to first sanitize the oral cavity (treat teeth, perform surgical interventions).
It often happens that several options are suitable for the patient, differing both in concept and terms of treatment, and in financial costs.

What are the stages and prices of manufacturing a complete removable denture at home?
A complete removable denture is made when less than 3 teeth are left in the patient's jaw or the teeth are completely missing.
In most cases, it is better to use an acrylic (plastic) prosthesis, because over time it can be modified (rebase, add an extracted tooth), which cannot be done in a nylon prosthesis.

FIRST VISIT:

ADDITIONALLY: Over time (1-8 weeks), the oral mucosa adapts to the new prosthesis. The denture may begin to rub in some places. There is no need to be afraid, this is part of the healing process. The probability of the need for correction of the prosthesis is about 80%. In such cases, you must call your doctor for a correction and do not remove the prosthesis for at least 6 hours before the specialist arrives!
